Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026.
Mobile Smart Repairs Oldham is run by Dean Seville. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean that business. It explains which personal details we hold when you use this website, ask for a quote, upload pictures, book a repair or message us, and what happens to them.
Who is responsible?
We act as controller for the customer data our repair service relies on. To raise anything about your data, phone 07999 909 404 or use the quote request form and put “privacy” at the start of your message.
Which details do we hold?
- Name, mobile or landline number, email and postcode.
- The address where we are repairing the car.
- Make, model and registration.
- The damage photos you upload.
- Our record of quotes, bookings, conversations, invoices and warranty claims.
- Technical data logged by our website and form suppliers: IP address, device, browser, the referring page and your activity on the site.
When taking photos, try to keep faces, door numbers and other identifying details out of shot.
Why do we need it, and what makes that lawful?
- To answer you and prepare a quote: steps you ask for before entering a contract.
- To arrange and complete your repair: performing our contract.
- To take payment and keep accounts: our contract, plus legal duties.
- To handle complaints and warranty claims: our contract and legitimate interests.
- To protect the site and the business against abuse: legitimate interests.
Analytics and marketing extras stay switched off unless the consent rules let us use them. You can take back consent or opt out of marketing at any point.
Who else receives it?
Only those who need it:
- our technicians;
- companies that host this site, the quote form and our job records;
- phone, email and messaging services;
- payment providers;
- our accountant and other professional advisers;
- public bodies, when the law obliges us.
LeadConnector (HighLevel) operates our quote form. If you pay with PayPal or Klarna, that company handles the payment or lending decision under its own terms and privacy notice. We don’t normally see or keep complete card numbers. Selling personal data is something we never do.
Is it sent abroad, and is it secure?
A few of the services behind our site, forms, messages or analytics may process information outside the UK. Restricted transfers are covered by a UK adequacy regulation or an approved safeguard. We protect your information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, but nothing sent over the internet is ever completely free of risk.
How long is it kept?
- Enquiries and photos with no booking: up to 24 months after we were last in touch, unless a dispute requires longer.
- Job sheets, invoices and payment records: kept for six years at most once the relevant accounting year closes, as a rule.
- Warranty and complaint files: while they stay relevant, then for a reasonable time afterwards.
We check what we hold at intervals and erase what is no longer needed, except where the law or a likely claim requires us to keep it.
Cookies
Cookies that the website and quote form need to function may be set. Extra cookies could come from analytics, adverts or embedded content if any of those are switched on. Your browser settings can block cookies, at the cost of parts of the site possibly misbehaving. Before any non-essential cookie is set, we will check what is in use and ask for consent where the rules require it.
What rights do I have?
Subject to legal conditions, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data;
- correct or delete it;
- restrict how it is used;
- send it to you in a portable format.
You can also object to certain uses and withdraw consent where consent is our basis. Use the contact details above to make a request. If you remain unhappy with our handling of your data, the Information Commissioner’s Office takes complaints.
Updates to this notice
Changes to our services, suppliers or the law will lead us to revise this notice. The “last updated” line above tells you which version this is.
