Mobile Alloy Wheel Repairs Oldham
Kerb rash and scrapes on painted alloy wheels refinished at your home or workplace, usually with the wheel left on the car.
Kerbed wheels, refinished on site

Grazed rims are one of the first things noted when a car is appraised or returned, and in Oldham they’re easy to collect: steep streets where you park tight to the kerb, narrow terraces and the high kerbs on newer estates. We repair cosmetic kerb damage, scrapes and scuffs on painted alloy wheels of any make, without you buying replacement wheels.
One thing to be clear on: painted alloys are the only wheels we refinish. Diamond-cut faces, cracks, buckles and colour changes are all outside our service.
Getting the wheels ready
- A quick clean beforehand helps us spot every scrape on the rim.
- Find the locking wheel nut key and leave it somewhere easy to reach.
- Skip tyre dressing for the week before, because it can stop the new paint bonding.
How the rim is put right
- We inspect each wheel to make sure the damage is cosmetic only.
- Rough kerb marks are sanded smooth and deeper gouges filled and shaped.
- Next comes a coat of primer, dried under a curing lamp.
- Colour is applied to match the rest of the wheel and cured.
- A tough lacquer finishes the job, followed by aftercare advice.
Wheel work carries its own guarantee: twelve months on each painted alloy we refinish, under our standard terms.
Same kerb, same day? A scraped bumper corner can be done under bumper repairs, and nearby marks under scratch repair, dent removal or bodywork repair. Read the frequently asked questions, check the districts we cover or send photos of your wheels.
We can’t say what a finance or leasing company will make of any particular mark, because that depends on your own agreement and its return guide. What we can do is give you a firm repair price, so you have something to weigh up before the inspection.
